Meghan Markle regains her 'authentic voice' after cutting royal ties
Meghan Markle receives support amid backlash over motherhood comments
Meghan Markle is regaining her "authentic voice" as she no longer has to face royal protocols since exiting the UK in 2020.
The Duchess of Sussex recently recalled hard times while pregnant with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in her podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder.
"People forget that Lili is three, and Archie is five. So you look at the past five, six years of my life, it’s yes, with being pregnant or with a newborn or with a toddler, and then another one," Meghan confessed of being fully occupied with motherhood.
In conversation with the Mirror, psychologist Stefan Walters claimed that the Duchess is "partly creating a platform for herself, because she was ridiculed publicly and when she and Harry left the UK, there was a lot of scorn directed at them."
"By doing her podcast she now has a brand, but more importantly a voice," the medical expert added.
Stefan claimed that the former Suits actress was not allowed to express herself before when she was an active working royal as it "went against the brand of the royals."
"So she’s creating an authentic voice and just being honest and open," he said.
The expert also highlighted the difficulties women faced while being pregnant. Stefan shared that now, Meghan "perhaps feeling that she’s able to create and relive some happy memories around pregnancy and the early years of her children’s lives."
