Beatrice, Eugenie receive positive message from Palace after King’s approval
King Charles assigns special roles to Princesses Beatrice, Eugenie as they await major upgrade
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie seemed to have earned a special position in the Royal Family despite the slew of scandals cause by their father, Prince Andrew.
The Duke of York, who has been in an ongoing feud with his brother King Charles, has been stripped off of his royal titles and patronages. However, his two daughters, whom he shares with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, remain in the Palace good books.
According to royal sources, the Buckingham Palace “appreciates” the two sisters for their contribution and loyalty.
“They both believe in the institution and what the royal family represents, and have always been willing to do their bit and support it if they can,” a friend close to the York family told Hello! magazine. “They’re fond of their cousins and that sense of duty is something they believe in.
They noted that both Beatrice and Eugenie have their own careers and “haven’t put a foot wrong” despite it being “difficult for members of the family who are half-out”. The sisters have done it “blamelessly”.
“They have full-time jobs and families, and I think they like the balance they have in terms of being career women and mothers, while also being able to do their bit to support the royals” they continued.
“They are lovely, charming young women – everyone who knows them says that. They are a credit to their parents and to the family, and it’s obvious that that's being appreciated a bit more at the Palace.”
According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, the King is fond of his nieces and approves of their hard work. In fact both the sisters have performed important tasks on behalf of the monarch.
Although, royal sources insist that although while senior of the family, including Prince William, are pleased to have the sisters’ support in regard to a limited number of engagements, there are no confirmed plans on taking it further.
