LAHORE
Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh has said that garment sector related short courses will be started soon with the collaboration of TiKa (a Turkish Organisation) at Government Institute of Emerging Technology, Township, Lahore.
According to a press release issued here Thursday, the said international level training will be beneficial for youths to get better job opportunities in the national and international market. He termed Faisalabad Garment City positive and meaningful step to address the issues of unemployment.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that Tevta has successfully started Industry Demand Driven (IDD) short courses for youths of the province of the Punjab.
We have successfully completed first and second phase of short courses.
Third phase is being started from 22nd of this month in which 46 demand-driven short courses are being offered to train another badge of 20,000 trainees.
