490 centres set up for Inter exams on May 7
LAHORE
The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has set up 490 examination centres in its jurisdiction for Intermediate (Part-II) Annual Examination 2016 starting from May 7.
A BISE spokesperson said 152,968 candidates including 73,252 boys and 79,716 girls have registered for the exam, adding 65 centres have been set up in Kasur, 30 Nankana Sahib, 54 Sheikhupura, 38 Lahore (Mufassil) and 300 Lahore (Local).
The spokesperson said as per vision of Punjab Higher Education Department for smooth and transparent examination and elimination of Booti Mafia, all examination centres shall be inspected strictly. For this purpose, he added mobile inspectors, distributing inspectors and mobile squads had been appointed who would deliver the progress reports of examination centres on daily basis.
All the examination supervisory teams would be supported by the board authority and law enforcement agencies when required while DCOs and DPOs concerned had also been requested to arrange foolproof security system and deployment of police contingent in and around the examination centres.
The spokesperson said private candidates could download roll number slips from the website of Lahore Board www.biselahore.com while the regular candidate might contact their respective institutions to get their roll number slips.
