Faisalabad’s ‘missing’ female student marries

FAISALABAD: A student of MA Zoology at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, who had gone missing on April 29, has contracted marriage with a man. The student, Basanti, was believed to have gone missing on April 29, prompting her brother to get an abduction case registered against unidentified people. Following registration of a case, Civil Lines police started investigation. On Thursday, the police managed to recover the girl from a suburban area of Toba Tek Singh and produced her in the court of Magistrate Shahid Sarfraz. She told the magistrate that she had embraced Islam and contracted marriage with Zeeshan Ahmad without any duress or pressure. To it, the magistrate allowed the girl to go with her husband.
