NOWSHERA: The Education Department dismissed a teacher from service who had secured the job through fraudulent means, official sources said on Wednesday.
The sources said that District Education Officer Inam Toru had ordered investigation against the teachers who had been recruited illegally.The investigation team found that one Zubair Khan had been recruited in 2004 through the forged signatures of then Deputy Coordination Officer Anwar Ali.
Zubair Khan, who was appointed at the Government Middle School in Kannakhail, was transferred to the Government Higher Secondary School in Khairabad had withdrawn Rs1.7milion salary from the exchequer.
A notification of Zubair Khan’s dismissal had been issued and the department concerned had been directed to make recovery from the accused. An inquiry report submitted to the Education Department feared that several persons had been recruited in the department fraudulently with the connivance of officials in the District Accounts Office.
