The ‘Ivy Spring Fiesta’ was held at Roots Ivy International School, Wallayat Homes Campus, Chaklala Scheme-III to celebrate the onset of spring with music, dance, food, fun and festivities, says a press release.
Young students of O Levels/IGCSE setup stalls of all kinds including food and games. It was a day of family entertainment and fun. Students of the Montessori and primary tier performed with ‘punkhiyun’, kites, ‘matka’, bicycles and flutes to scintillating beats from Pakistani pop to traditional music. The young learners took the captivated audience on a journey from the shores of the Arabian Sea to the land of the five rivers, from the plateaus of Balochistan to the land of hospitality.
The event culminated in a special birthday ceremony for the 27th birthday of Roots Ivy. It marked 27 exceptional years of innovation, creativity and leadership, from the vision and commitment of Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq, founder of the Roots School System to the tireless efforts and devotion of Khadija Mushtaq, CEO of Roots Ivy International Schools. The students gathered around as the birthday cake was cut and later took to the stage to demonstrate their talents.
There were pony-rides for the little ones, a merry-go-round and even a horse and carriage for an old-fashioned ‘tonga’ ride. Freestyle footballers showcased their skills and students indulged in competitive games at the very popular Xbox station. Students enjoyed the jumping castle and could be seen taking photographs with their friends and family at the spring themed photo booth.
All the students left with smiles on their faces, balloons in their hands and a song in their hearts. The Ivy Spring Fiesta was a show to remember and cherish the whole year through.
