LAHORE
A sixty-year-old woman was strangled by her son-in-law in Sandah. The victim identified as Nusrat Bibi lived in the house of her daughter and son-in-law Shahbaz Alam in Sandah Kalan. On the day of incident, accused Shahbaz had an exchange of hot words with his mother-in-law Nusrat over a domestic issue and later strangled. The accused escaped from the scene. Police registered a case against.
ARRESTED: Kahna police arrested a man who had kidnapped a sixteen-year-old boy and sexually assaulted him.
The accused identified as Aslam had kidnapped Ali Raza from Kahna Kachha and took him to Malipura. Police recovered the boy and registered a case.
ARRESTED: PHP arrested a dacoit. A PHP team received information that some unidentified people committed a robbery and escaped in a car. The chased the car.
The car riders opened indiscriminate firing. The police team retaliated. As a result, a robber identified as Farhan Maqsood was injured. His two accomplices Faisal and Najma managed to escape. Police arrested Farhan. Yet in another incident, PHP team spotted some robbers who had blocked the road for looting purpose. Upon seeing the police party, the robbers opened firing and fled away taking the advantage of darkness. PHP arrested kidnapper Manzoor Ali of TT Singh and recovered girl Ammara Latif.

Shabir Ahmad and Lal Muhammad were directed to report Central Police Office, Lahore.
RANGERS: Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Major General Umar Farooq Burki visited the forward locations of Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur and spent night with Jawans.
