A 27-year-old man committed suicide on a petty dispute in the Missri Shah police limits on Friday. Police have removed the body to morgue for autopsy. The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Muhammad Zubair, a resident of Sultanpura. SI Muhammad Sarwar told The News that victim was a drug addict. His family used to admonish him on his bad habits. On the day of incident, he exchanged harsh words with his father. He got infuriated, went inside the room and locked himself. He slaughtered himself with a knife, he added.
Police and rescue teams reached the place on information and rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police collected forensic evidences from the crime scene and registered the statements of the eye-witnesses.
