Two people were killed in as many hit-and-run accidents on Wednesday, police said.
Islam Baig, 50, died after being run over by a vehicle outside the Aga Khan Hospital. The man was crossing the road when he met with the accident.
Police took his body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a postmortem examination. The victim was a resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
Allah Rakha, 30, lost his life when his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle near Siemens Chowrangi in the SITE-A police jurisdiction.
Body found
The body of an Afghan national, Zar Badshah, 45, was found in a room of Regent Plaza Hotel on Sharea Faisal.
A staff member discovered the body when he entered the room to change the bed sheet.
After being called to the hotel, police took the corpse to the JPMC for medico-legal formalities.
The MLO who conducted the postmortem examination said in his initial report that the man died of heart failure.
Saddar SHO Pir Shabeer Haider told The News that the man had checked in at the hotel a day earlier.
