The present times demand purposeful research and focused academic efforts for the progress of societies through quality learning and research.
These views were expressed by US Cultural Attache in Karachi, Li Ping Lo, who was accompanied by Richard Boyum, University Partnership Evaluation Coordinator from the US State Department for the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan, during a visit to Karachi University’s department of public administration (DPA) on Monday.
They said the partnership programme between Karachi University and George Mason University (GMU), US, was making satisfactory advances.
In this regard, a group of researchers from DPA led by Dr Khalid Iraqi, the dean of management and administrative sciences faculty, had visited GMU in June last year.
During the meeting on Monday, students of MPhil and PhD at the DPA exchanged views about their research projects with Li Ping Lo and Richard Boyum. The guests appreciated the variety of fields of research and advised all scholars to take maximum advantage of modern research tools and techniques for their work.
