RAWALPINDI: About 70% work on the underpass on right side of the Nullah Leh Bridge at Moti Mehal Chowk has been completed while the remaining work is likely to be completed by the middle of September this year as the task is being carried out at a fast pace.
Work on completion of the bridge was to be completed on July 31, 2015, however, due to certain reasons work on the project was delayed.
Giving major reasons for delay in completion of work on the project on scheduled date, sources said that the design of the underpass was changed by Nespak. In addition to it, the drilling machine developed fault. The delay was also caused by heavy monsoon rains. The drilling machine has been procured again. Now work is being carried out at a fast pace.
