CHARSADDA: The administration of the private sector educational institutions on Thursday asked the government to take note of the alleged police interference and raids on schools or else they would launch a protest campaign.
Talking to The News, owners and principals of various schools, Naqeeb Safdar, Sabz Ali Khan, Ali Akbar and others said the government had adopted discriminatory attitude towards the private schools in the district.
They said the security plan given by the government for security of the schools was almost impossible to be implemented. Naqeeb Safdar said only owners of the category-A schools could make the recommended security arrangements.
The owners said installation of close-circuit television cameras (CCTV), walkthrough gates, metal detectors, fire distinguishing equipment and hiring six security guards was not possible for owners of all schools. “Our institutions are already running in deficit and we cannot arrange these facilities,” he added.
