Slain traffic cop laid to rest

MARDAN: The funeral prayer for a ticketing officer who was killed in a firing incident late Saturday night was offered at the Police Lines here on Sunday.
Ticketing Officer Attaullah was gunned down in the limits of Par Hoti Police Station on the Mardan-Swabi road.
The accused Iftikhar and Imtiaz had allegedly fired at one Mudassir, a resident of Katlang, and he died on the spot while a passerby woman was injured.
Later, Ticketing Officer Attaullah and Mohammad Ishaq, a traffic cop, had chased the accused. The accused fired at the cops injuring Attaullah.
