ISLAMABAD: The trader community has expressed dissatisfaction over economic package as announced by the prime minister in view of spread of coronavirus in the country. In his immediate reaction to announcement of the economic package, President of Markazi Tanzeem Tajran Pakistan (Central Traders Organization) Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry has termed Rs15 per litre relief in prices of petroleum products as a joke with people. He said the government has failed in passing benefits of reduction in oil prices in the international market.
Kashif Chaudhry demanded of the prime minister to reduce interest rate to 5 percent and make arrangements for small businessmen get interest free loans. He also called for waiver of rent of shops owned by cantonments, municipal corporations, Evacuee Trust Board.
He assured complete cooperation from the traders community, saying that they would not allow increase in prices of essential commodities while keeping chain of supply in sufficient quantity.
