This refers to the news report, ‘Firing by SHO kills bar president, colleague in Daska’ (May 26). Today we suffer because certain individuals and groups consider themselves above the law. When those holding public offices – elected or paid – fail to lead by example and are not held accountable for their crime, anarchy and lawlessness follow and terrorism is nurtured.
The SHO who killed the two lawyers committed a crime but so did the lawyers who played havoc with public and private properties. Why did the lawyers confront the TMO instead of following normal procedure? The SHO had no business to commit murders. Either the law is supreme or it is not. Everybody must submit to it – including the police, lawyers, the civil and uniformed bureaucracy and elected representatives and those holding public offices. Otherwise, there will be anarchy and chaos.
