FIA under pressure to delay probe into AKD, Axact scandals

ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) are facing extreme pressure to delay investigation into the allegations levelled against the AKD Securities and Axact scandals.
The AKD Securities is involved in inflicting billions of rupees loss on the national exchequer while Axact is involved in issuing fake degrees. The institutions were pressurised not to move probe further ahead and not to present challan in any shape and they should cause delay in the hearing of cases if they were made to do so.
