A total of 14 vehicles suffered extensive damage as a fire broke out at a car showroom located within the Sharea Faisal police limits on Thursday.
According to the Central Fire Station, the blaze at the showroom situated near the FTC building erupted at about 10:20am. Officials said the fire spread rapidly and took two hours to douse, but were still unclear over the cause of the blaze.
A day earlier, a major fire broke out in the Nazarat behind Aziz Bhatti Park in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, turning 197 vehicles to ashes, along with three thatched huts. It had taken around four hours for eight fire tenders of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation to put out the fire. The cause of that blaze had also not been ascertained.
