Task force formed to protect wildlife

CHAKWAL: A task force has been constituted to protect wildlife from illegal hunting in the district.’
The formation of the task force was decided in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Mumtaz Khan.
Haji Farhat of a village submitted the report saying that illegal hunting has been discouraged and now the wild birds and animals are visible in the area.
Mumtaz said the Punjab government has banned all type of haunting in tehsil Chakwal, therefore, illegal hunters must be stopped.
Nisar Ahmed, in-charge of the task force assured the meeting participants that wildlife would be protected even at night. Mumtaz said an awareness campaign would be launched to protect the wildlife.
BAR POLLS ON 9TH: The annual elections of the District Bar Association, Chakwal will be held on January 9th.
Candidates of the Pasha group and Zaidi group are contesting the polls.
The Pasha group fielded Khawaja Asghar Farooq for the slot of presidentship while the Zaidi group brought Nayar Abbas for the slot.
Last year the Zaidi group swept the polls. More than 400 lawyers will cast votes.
