Culinary team launched
LAHORE
Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that Pakistani youth has won laurels throughout the world by the dint of their talent. He said the Punjab government has brought fore the talent and expertise of the nation by adopting the policy of merit and transparency in every sector of life including education and sports.
He expressed these views while addressing the launching ceremony of national culinary team of Pakistan under the aegis of College of Tourism & Hotel Management, today. He said that a team of girl and boy students having expertise in preparation of Pakistani foods will raise the Pakistani flag high in international competitions, launched from the platform of College of Tourism and Hotel Management. He said that preparations have been completed for holding national food championship in Pakistan next year.
laptops: Zhang Biao from the Chinese Consulate Lahore donated five laptops to Punjab University’s Institute of Languages on Tuesday.
According to a press release, Punjab University has entered into a collaboration with Jiangxi University. PU Vice-Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran received the laptops from Biao. This is an effort of Dr Maria Maldonado, In-charge Institute of Languages, for the improvement of Chinese language in the city in line with the directives of chief minister Punjab.
Dr. Maria Maldonado recently came back after attending the 10th Confucius Institute conference in Shanghai. Biao, from the Chinese consulate, said the donation of five laptops was only a small demonstration of support for the institute.
