Valuables burnt in hospital

LAHORE:Valuables were reduced to ashes in an incident of fire in orthopedic ward of Mayo Hospital on Monday.

Reportedly, the fire broke out in the x-ray room of the ward due to short-circuit and spread to other sections. Fire-fighters reached the spot and extinguished the fire. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.

MAN COMMITS SUICIDE: A 24-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself on Monday. The victim Saleem Maseeh reportedly was frustrated over domestic issues and on Monday he shot himself. He was shifted to hospital where he died. Police removed the body to morgue.

TWO POS HELD: Defence-A police have arrested two suspected proclaimed offenders Umar Farooq and Rana Babar on Monday. The suspect Umar was wanted in a cheque dishonour case registered against him in Defence-A and Johar Town. The suspect Babar was booked in a theft case some time ago. Police said that they were investigating the matter further.

FAKE COPS ARRESTED:

Sanda police have arrested two suspects Bashir alias Bashira and Yaseen impersonating themselves as cops on Monday. Police also recovered pistol, bullets, cash Rs 2,00,000, eight mobile phones, 125 motorbikes, LCD and other valuables from their custody. The suspects would wear police uniforms and loot the citizens. At least 72 cases have been registered against them in various police stations of the city.

Meanwhile, Ghaziabad police have arrested a suspect Rizwan involved in aerial firing on Monday. Illegal weapons have also been recovered from his custody.
