MANSEHRA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) parliamentary leader in the provincial assembly Sardar Mohammad Yousuf has said that prices of essential commodities have increased before Eidul Azha.
“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has failed to effectively tackle the inflation as prices of flour, sugar, pulses and other essential commodities soared to an ever highest,” Yousuf told reporters here on Saturday.
He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, despite announcing mega water supply projects, could not execute even a single scheme, resulting in acute water shortage in Mansehra and other parts of Hazara division.
“It was Mian Nawaz Sharif, who, as a prime minister of this country, launched the Hazara Motorway and other such mega projects but this PTI government scrapped most of them after coming into power,” he said. Yousuf, who is also central senior vice-president and former religious affairs minister, said that his party was well prepared for the upcoming local government elections in the province.
