CS directs strict implementation of corona virus SOPs on Eid
PESHAWAR: Expressing concern over the rise in the number of coronavirus, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Dr Kazim Niaz on Friday directed the authorities to ensure strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the occasion of Eidul Azha.
The Chief Secretary issued these instructions while presiding over a high-level meeting on prevention of potential fourth wave of Covid-19 and implementation of precautionary measures.
The meeting was attended by administrative secretaries of health, local government, transport and information department, said an official communique.
The meeting was informed that the positivity rate of cases in Peshawar was on the rise and COVID-19 variants of UK, South Africa and India had also been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The chief secretary said that the fourth wave of corona could also arise on Eidul Azha, adding that it was high time to strictly implement precautionary protocols.
