PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed the project directors of Nowshera and Gajju Khan Medical Colleges to ensure provision of all facilities on urgent basis for affiliation of the colleges with the Khyber Medical University (KMU) and registration with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
Chairing a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Wednesdayabout the progress on Nowshera and Gajju Khan Medical Colleges, he also asked the authorities of the Gajju Medical College to complete the equipment and other facilities procurement process by December 15. He said the academic session in the new colleges should be planned after provision of all essential facilities.
He said that the registration bodies should also not be forced to register the colleges until all necessary requirements are fulfilled to start the colleges.
Pervez Khattak directed authorities to complete the faculty hiring process for the Gajju Medical College and also approved a special incentive package for the faculty of the colleges to attract competent health professionals.
The Speaker Provincial Assembly Asad Qaiser said that he would personally monitor the progress on the colleges project on daily basis.
