2 robbers killed in ‘encounter’ in Kasur

KASUR: Two alleged robbers were killed during an ‘encounter’ with police in the limits of Kanganpur police near Bagh Amroodawala here on Saturday.
The police were taking alleged robber Mustafa alias Mustafi to Mandi Ahmadabad from Kanganpur for the arrest of another robber and recovery of looted articles when four unidentified gangsters tried to get release the arrested robber from the police custody and opened fire at the police party on Mandi Ahmadabad Road. In the meantime, some bullets allegedly fired by the gangsters hit alleged robbers Mustafa and Abbas, which claimed their lives, the police claimed. Later, the gangsters fled. According to a press release issued by the DPO Kasur office, both the killed robbers were wanted in 21 different cases.
