A man was wounded for putting up resistance to a mugging bid in Gulshan-e-Hadeed on Thursday. Police said 40-year-old Jamil, son of Yasin, was returning home after withdrawing cash from a bank when two men riding a motorcycle followed him and intercepted him near his residence in Phase II, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, within the limits of the Steel Town police station. They opened fire at him when he offered resistance. The robbers managed to escape from the scene. The victim suffered a gunshot injury and was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical treatment. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
