Lawyers’ welfare fund launched

LAHORE:The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has launched lawyers’ welfare fund for the help of needy advocates in the wake of lockdown due of coronavirus pandemic. A committee under the chairmanship of LHCBA President Tahir Nasarullah Warriach has been constituted. Members Pakistan Bar Council Ahsan Bhoon and Azam Nazir Tarar are members of the committee. As many as 500 applications have been received to the Bar and the money would be distributed among 400 lawyers.

Tigers Force REJECTED: Senior PPP leader Aurangzeb Burki has rejected the Tigers Force announced by the Prime Minister and alleged it is only meant to bribe the PTI workers instead of serving the nation.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the PPP leader said that the creation of Tiger Force has two evil objectives. First, it is to bribe its supporters and engage them in loot of the government’s aid package. Second, the PM had tried to convey that he has his own force to meet any eventuality, the PPP leader alleged.
