Home-bound
Unfortunately, both public health and hygiene have not remained a priority for our past successive rulers and our people which is why ours is not a healthy country. We have several health issues int this country, such as hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, tuberculosis, cancer, malaria, diarrhea, typhoid, yellow fever, dengue, hypertension, asthma etc. In the wake of a deadly coronavirus, a vast majority of people in this country has become sensitized about health and hygiene.
Experts believe that good personal hygiene habits are directly related to less illness and better health. On the contrary, poor personal hygiene habits can lead to serious issues. Above all, poor public health and hygiene habits can also affect ones self-esteem. Let’s hope our people emerge as health and hygiene conscious in the aftermath of these catastrophic coronavirus times.
