KARACHI: Indonesia is keen to enhance trade relations with Pakistan, a statement quoted a diplomat, as saying, on Monday.
Addressing a meeting at the Pakistan Chemicals and Dies Merchants Association (PCDMA), Totok Prianamto, consul general of Indonesia, said that being a Muslim country, Indonesian president and prime minister want more trade with Pakistan and assured all possible facilities to Pakistani businessmen.
The Indonesian envoy announced the issuance of visas to members of PCDMA within two days, so that the businessmen of the two countries can enhance trade relations with each other and also seek opportunities for joint partnerships.
In response to a query regarding the free trade agreement with Pakistan, he said he would discuss the issue with his government, while joint partnership would also be reviewed, because Indonesian businessmen are keen to do business with Pakistani counterparts, which will benefit both the countries.
