A scrap warehouse in Patel Para was destroyed by fire on Sunday. According to a fire brigade spokesperson, a blaze broke out in the warehouse located in Ghausia Colony in Patel Para on the night between Saturday and Sunday. Initially, residents of the area attempted to extinguish the fire on their own. Later, two fire tenders were dispatched to the site to battle the blaze.
According to the fire brigade spokesperson, the firefighters took around half-an-hour to put out the blaze. No loss of life was reported in the incident, he said, adding that goods worth thousands of rupees reduced to ashes. The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained and an investigation was under way, the spokesman said.
