Lawmaker’s brother held in fraud case
TOBA TEK SINGH: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) authorities Monday arrested the elder brother of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA in a fraud case from Kamalia.
According to ACE Toba Assistant Director Muhammad Sagheer, a fraud case was registered against Aftab Fatyana, the elder brother of MNA Riaz Fatyana, in 2017.
He said Aftab, who has been district council member from Kamalia, had sold his farmland in Kamalia Chak Mull Fatyana to Rab Nawaz but later he tampered with land record documents and showed he had not sold the farmland to Rab Nawaz.
When contacted, MNA Riaz Fatyana said he had nothing to do with the activities of his brother. He said he had differences with his brother since 1997 and his brother always opposed him in elections.
