Public forum held in Mardan

MARDAN: The people from various walks of life attended a public forum in the limits of Chura Bakhshali Bazaar Police Station where police officials listened to the grievances of people.
Speaking at the forum, District Police Officer Sajjad Khan said that the Forum is meant to know about the law and order situation in an area and bridge the police-public gap.
The official shared his cellphone number with the locals and asked them to cooperate with the police by blowing the whistle on various social evils and crimes. He said the names of the whistle-blowers would be kept secret. He said that with the cooperation of the public, the police in Mardan have taken successful actions against the business of usury, land mafia and drug smugglers.
