Adviser says gas projects for 5 districts approved
PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister for Energy and Power Himayatullah Khan has said that the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) Board has approved gas infrastructure development projects of Rs4,050 million for gasification of Karak, Kohat, Hangu, Charsadda and Peshawar.
It is all because of the efforts of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, for placing the provincial representatives on the Board of SNGPL, said a handout. Speaking at a meeting of the Energy Department, Himayatullah Khan said that gasification projects have been approved for oil &gas producing districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The board has approved Rs1,944 million gasification projects for districts Karak, Kohat and Hangu. Out of the total project cost, SNGPL will fund Rs1,250 million while remaining cost of Rs694 million will be funded by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
