ISLAMABAD: Misbahul Haq has been appointed as the head coach of the Islamabad United for the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The franchise has also appointed Luke Ronchi, a senior member of the playing squad over the past few seasons, as assistant coach along with his player-mentor role.
Misbah was the captain of United over the first three seasons, leading the team to two PSL titles during that span. He is also the most successful Test captain in Pakistan’s history, winning more Tests than anyone else and led the team to number one in the ICC rankings. The duo will be joined by Saeed Ajmal as spin bowling coach.
