Security for martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali reviewed

District Coordination Officer Muhammad Usman has said the City District Government Lahore would utilise all its resources for the procession of Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA) on Ramazan 21.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting to review the arrangements of procession at Town Hall on Tuesday.
MPA Kh Imran Nazir, Representatives of Shia Community, Town Administrators and others were present. DCO Lahore directed Town Administrations to have patch work, route clearance, illumination, functional street lights, removal of banners and steamers, provision of extra lights on congested area and slabs for drain coverage on the procession route.
The DCO also instructed Civil Defence officials to prepare a duty roster of civil defence volunteers and it must be shared with police department.
He instructed police officials to prepare a security plan along with profound search and sweep by the special branch.
“Wasa and LWMC will cover the open drainage on route and will provide water boozers for the participants of procession,” he added.
He also instructed Lesco and PTCL to remove hanging wires of electricity and telephone and traffic police should make plan for smooth flow of traffics and arrangements of parking for vehicles.
DCO revealed that Health Department of CDGL will establish temporary hospitals at Central Model School while it will also set up two temporary hospitals At Al Khamini and Al-Imran buildings located on the route of procession where doctors and paramedical staff will perform duty.
