Omar Colts to debut in KG Ramazan Cricket

KARACHI: Omar Colts will be making their debut in the 30th edition of the Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan Festival Cricket Tournament 2015 which will be getting underway here at the Karachi Gymkhana Cricket Ground on the first day of Ramazan.
The draws for the four-week event were taken out by the tournament committee in the presence of the officials of the participating teams and the representatives of the media in a ceremony held on Thursday.
Tournament Director Riazuddin, an international umpire, conducted the draws in the company of committee members Altaf Agha, Abbas Saifuddin Valika and Muzaffar Alam.
Debutant Omar Colts have been placed in Group C along with Eaton Cricket Club, Touchme Cricket Club and Dollar East.
The Group D has Rhivo Mobiles, Agha Steel, Dubai Islamic Bank and Tapal Cricket Club.
Defending champions Omar Associates are in the Group A which also has Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club, Heroes Cricket Club and Karachi Gymkhana Whites.
The quartet of last year’s runners-up K-Electric, Shaboo Stars, Karachi Gymkhana Blues and Brothers Cricket Club constitute the Group B.
Omar Associates (Pvt) Ltd, the promoters of Omar Colts, has been managing veterans and women’s teams besides having its regular team which plays national-level tournaments.
