Hailstorm damages wheat, gram crops in Bhakkar

BHAKKAR: Heavy rain and hailstorm damaged wheat and gram crops in the district, particularly in Mankera and Kaloor Kot tehsils.
Meanwhile, DCO Muhammad Zaman Wattoo visited the affected areas and directed the Agriculture and Revenue departments to assess the loss and submit a report to him.
ROADS PROGRAMME: The CM’s rural roads programme has been launched in the district, said DCO Muhammad Zaman Wattoo.
Talking to newsmen at the TMA Hall here on Wednesday, he said that four roads would be constructed at a cost of Rs 200 million under the project. He said that the construction of roads would be completed by June 2015.
REHABILITATION OF RAILWAY STATIONS: The government has approved a grant of Rs 300 million for rehabilitation of the railway stations and security arrangements. In the first phase, 20 railway stations of six districts would be rehabilitated. The stations, included the Darya Khan Railway Station.
