Levies man among 3 killed in Quetta firing
QUETTA: A Levies man along with two others was killed in Quetta's Sariab area on Friday, the police confirmed. Unknown assailants opened fire on a vehicle carrying the Levies man in the city's Killi Bangulzai vicinity, says a report. According to SHO Khalil Bugti, the Levies man belonged to Sibi whereas the two civilians were residents of Quetta. The bodies were shifted to the city's Civil Hospital. Security forces reached the site of the incident soon after it was reported and cordoned off the area. Investigation into the incident is underway. Two assailants were also gunned down as personnel in a police vehicle, which was passing by, responded to the attack, police say. One of the injured attackers, however, had managed to flee. Last month, two policemen were killed in a shooting by unknown armed assailants in Balochistan's provincial capital. The incident occurred on Sarki Road when the attackers opened fire on the on-duty policemen. Four passersby were also injured.
