28 registered farmers get smart phones
LALAMUSA: DC Muhammad Ali Randhawa Saturday gave smart phones to 28 registered farmers.
The phones were given to farmers during a ceremony. Meanwhile, addressing the meeting of Agricultural Advisory Committee, the DC said smart phones would be given to only registered farmers. He said some 453 farmers of Gujrat would get the phones. The DC said the telephone company's office had been established in the Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Office for the raining of the farmers. The DC said some 52,067 farmers had been registered for the ‘farmer card’ in Gujrat and some 4,546 people had visited the office for e-loan. He said some 4,284 people had been registered and Rs 22.9 million for loan scheme had been issued to 1,123 farmers. The DC said field officers of Agriculture Department forwarded samples of sand from 22,225 places for testing in the laboratory whose data would be available online.
