Allegations about constituencies’ delimitation rejected
PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party has rejected the allegations of the Member Provincial Assembly Khalid Khan about delimitation of the constituencies and termed them as baseless. MPA Khalid Khan had quit the QWP and joined the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf recently.
Through a statement, the QWP ‘s provincial information secretary Tariq Khan said that the delimitation of the constituencies in Charsadda district had been carried out by the Election Commission of Pakistan and his party had nothing to do with that.
He said that the allegation of Khalid Khan that the QWP was not willing to give him ticket was also not true as the QWP’s parliamentary board had not decided the matter yet.
He said that Khalid Khan had neither applied nor consulted the party office for contesting election on the party ticket.
