Hafeez replies to PCB’s show-cause notice
LAHORE: Pakistan All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez in his reply to PCB show- cause notice has said that he was presented out of contest in his statement on the ICC policy.
Last week PCB served a show-cause notice to Hafeez for his statement criticising ICC policy on illegal action. Wednesday Hafeez filed his reply to the notice in which he stated that he did not criticise the ICC. He said that he was quoted out of context.
Hafeez said that he talked about the technical aspect of the issue and not criticised the ICC. He said he is hopeful of PCB’s satisfaction on his reply to the notice.
The all-rounder had criticised International Cricket Council (ICC) law regarding bowling action. The player had recently allowed bowling in international cricket after remodeling action. He was banned from bowling over his suspicious action which was reported in October last year against Sri Lanka. Hafeez was also pointed out for his ‘doubtful bowling action’ in November 2014 and June 2015.
