Footballer murdered in Baloch Para

A footballer was murdered in Baloch Para on Saturday night. Thirty-five-year-old Saleem Baloch alias Councillor, who also ran a football club in Baloch Para, was gunned down outside his house by two men riding a motorcycle. A five-year-old child standing nearby also suffered injuries.
Jamshed Quarters Sub Divisional Police Officer Rahim Shah said Baloch was rushed to the Civil hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The officer added that Baloch had suffered bullet wounds to the chest. A day earlier, the law enforcement agencies had carried out a raid in the area to arrest some notorious gangsters and rounded some suspects.
Police said the gangsters could have murdered Baloch suspecting that he was working as an informer for the law enforcement agencies and had tipped them off.
