LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N President and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had devastated Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province and defaced the city of Peshawar.
“The promises made with the nation by Imran Niazi have proved false,” he said while telephonically addressing a public meeting in Battagram district of KP.
In the beginning, Khan Sahib declared the Metro Bus of Lahore a ‘Jangla bus’ but later on his government in KP launched the same project in Peshawar.
However, his government failed to complete it as the tenure of the government is going to end this month, he added.
Shahbaz was scheduled to address the public meeting at Battagram, but he could not reach there due to bad weather.
The PML-N leader said he was very fond of coming to Battagram to meet the people of the area and discuss their problems, which the PTI government failed to solve during its constitutional term.
The KP had been pushed back during the past five years as no new projects had not launched by the provincial government, he added.
“By the Grace of Almighty Allah, I will visit the city soon to meet all of you," he promised.
He said people living in KP province were proud citizens of the country.
He said Imran Khan Niazi had promised producing thousands of megawatts of electricity five years ago. He had claimed that electricity would be provided to other parts of the country also.
