Five mega corruption cases: TIP asks NAB to take notice of delay

ISLAMABAD: Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) has requested the Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to take notice of delay in filing of references in five mega corruption cases worth Rs500 billion where amenity plots in Karachi were allotted to favourites.

In a letter written to the NAB chief, the Chairman TIP has said that NAB was unnecessarily delaying the filing of references in cases where a 2 Acre Land in Deh Okawari Karachi (Rashid Minhas Road adjacent to Ssfari Park Gulshan-e-lqbal) was reported to be illegally allotted for Residential cum Commercial use, by CM. on an Amenity Plot allotted.

A 6700 sq yd hawker plot was allotted in KDA Scheme 5 block 3, converted into flat site by merging another 3000 sq yd. 1 Acre commercial plot Com 3 Boat Basin Park by CM for commercial building.

Further allotting 2 acre plot to the same person. Conversion of 22 acre industrial land into commercial land in block 21 F B area Karachi and allotment of 1 acre commercial plot in the middle of rain Water Nallah Neher Khayam in Clifton.
