OPC reclaims land of expat

LAHORE: Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab reclaimed property of an expatriate Pakistani worth Rs15 million. Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Vice-Chairperson Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt said Naseer Ahmad, currently settled in Spain, filed a complaint against his neighbour about illegal occupation of his land situated at Toba Tek Singh. His complaint was referred to District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Toba Tek Singh. The DOPC officials, with the help of local police, reclaimed the land and handed over to Naseer.

Meeting: A meeting to review the arrangements put in place at A&E Department of Jinnah Hospital was convened by the Principal Prof Rashid Zia. According to a hand out issued here on Wednesday, Jinnah Hospital MS Dr Sohail Saqlain gave an overview of the existing system. Special compliments were given to professors, hospital management in managing the Riawind blast victims successfully.

Peace moot: Punjab University College of Earth & Environmental Sciences (CEES) in collaboration with Centre for Health and Gender Equality (CHANGE) will organise a conference on Peace, Harmony and Nationalism on Thursday (today) at 10am at Faisal Auditorium. Punjab University will remain closed tomorrow (Friday) on account of Pakistan Day.
