Academic to visit Durban university

PESHAWAR: Dr Shahzeb Khan, assistant professor at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Malakand Chakdarra, has been nominated as the focal person to deliver lecture/seminars on nano-particles drug delivery at the School of Health Sciences university of Kawazulu-Natal, Durban (UKZN) in Durban in South Africa.

Dr Shahzeb has done his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from University of Bradford United Kingdom and has contributed in the field of nano-drug delivery/computational pharmaceutics.

This academic visit of Dr Khan would lead to establish strong research collaboration between University of Malakand and UKZN. It is also worth mentioning, that the computational Drug Delivery Centre which is based at the Discipline of Pharmacy and established by Professor Mahmoud Soliman is considered among the leading computational centres in the world.

During this 10 days visit, Dr Khan would also get hands on the advanced molecular modelling techniques which are being employed for development of novel drug delivery systems. The visit likely would provide a platform to Dr Khan for actively interaction with the team of Prof. M.Soliman and other renowned and seasoned researchers of the school.

During the visit, he would discuss with Dean of the School to get free access to the researchers based at UOM for online use of the largest super computer cluster of the laboratory.
