25 suspects held during search operations in Capital suburbs

Islamabad: Islamabad police along with Pakistan Rangers conducted search operations in various areas of Ramna, Khanna and Koral police stations and arrested 25 suspects, the police spokesman said.

According to details, officers/officials of Islamabad Police and Pak Rangers and other law enforcement agencies conducted joint search operations in various areas of Ramna, Khanna and Koral police stations.

Under supervision of SP (Rural), SP (Saddar) SHOs Ramna, Khanna and Koral joined this search operation while police commandos, CTF, lady commandos and staff of Bomb Disposal Squad also participated in it.

They screened 624 houses and checked more than 695 persons, interrogated them and arrested 25 suspects besides recovering ammunition, 500 gram hashish, 30 litres Alcohol, and five gram ice from their possession.

SSP Islamabad has said that the purpose of this search operation is to ensure high vigilance in the city and every effort will be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of citizens. He has also appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them. The SSP also directed to accelerate efforts to get rid of the menace of drug peddling.
