Four people were killed in separate mishaps on Thursday.
A motorcyclist, Abdul Qadir, aged around 30 years, was killed when a speeding vehicle ran him over near Toll Plaza at the Super Highway.
A middle-aged unidentified man was crushed to death when he came under the wheels of a passenger train near Gulistan Colony in Quaidabad.
Two drown
Nine-year-old Muskan, daughter of Patras, drowned after she accidentally fell in the Lyari River while playing outside her house, situated within the jurisdiction of the New Karachi industrial area.
Separately, 22-year-old Muhammad Waseem, resident of Orangi Town, drowned while picnicking with his friends at the Hawkesbay beach.
He was rescued by Edhi volunteers and shifted to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Body found
The bullet-riddled body of a young man was found within Rizvia Society police limits on Thursday.
The body, which officials confirmed bore torture
marks, was found wrapped in a gunny bag under the Lasbela Bridge.
It was shifted to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities where a MLO confirmed that the man’s hands and legs had been bound and he was subjected to intensive torture before being shot twice.
