MoU signed for development of FATA.

Islamabad: The Hashoo Foundation (HF) held a strategic event of MoU signing with three partners for the development of FATA region, says a press release.

The partners in this high profile event were Centre for Excellence and Rural Development (CERD), FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) and Directorate Education, FATA. The chief guest on the occasion was Khalida Iqbal Sahiba, wife of Governor KP, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra.

Ayesha Khan, Country Director/VP CSR in her welcome address shared that the Foundation mobilises the CSR funds of Hashoo Group. These partnerships reflect the commitment to public-private partnership approach for the social development of the people of FATA especially in the education sector. The Country Director also shared that HF ECD model is well recognized by international development agencies and HF will be implementing this model in Africa as well.

Among the guests, Waqar Maroof, DG Afghan Commissionerate lauded the long-standing humanitarian efforts undertaken by the HF. He also spoke about the commitment and outstanding performance of the Foundation for the upliftment of the most vulnerable communities across the country.

The Chief Executive (CEO) of CERD, Khan Muhammad, thanked the Hashoo Group and its Foundation for the initiative of investing strategically in KP-FATA. Mr Khan said: ‘I have a good understanding about the community development initiatives of Hashoo Foundation and we are proud to sign this MoU with such a well- reputed organization”.

Khalida Iqbal in her brief address to the audience, highly appreciated the efforts of the HF and other development entities for serving the vulnerable communities across the country, especially FATA.
