Cold, dry weather forecast for most areas

LAHORE: Dry weather with partly cloudy conditions was observed in the provincial capital on Thursday while Met Office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours. Met officials said a shallow westerly trough was affecting the northern areas of the country. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain, with snowfall over the hills, is expected at a few places in Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan. Foggy conditions are likely to prevail over the plain areas of Punjab and Sukkur division. Rainfall was recorded in several cities.
